Happy Holidays

The holiday season is coming to an end. It's been fun! Tyler really got into opening presents this year. Last year he just kind of stared at them, waiting for something to happen. lol

It's been fun, but now we begin the loooooong winter. What better way to do that? Well a case of pneumonia of course. Poor kid.

Here he is decorating his ginger bread house with daddy

They had a little Christmas party at school. He got to sit with Santa, something that did not go so well at the mall.

Crazy Weather

Last Thursday we had an ice storm. We heard tree limbs snapping and falling until the power finally went out at 11:27pm. It was a long 5 nights and 6 days without power before it came back on Tuesday afternoon.

It was pretty until we found out it would be almost a week before power returned

Wednesday we got about 3 inches of snow, so we took Tyler out to "help" us shovel. He had lots of fun.

Looks like we are getting another 8-10" today and tonight. Ugh
Tyler will become a pro in no time ;)

First Snow

We had our first snow of the season yesterday. So we decided to take Tyler outside and let him play. He really loved it! He points to the sky and says "snowing", something we didn't even know he knew how to say. So that was pretty cute. Can't wait until we get enough snow to build a snow man.

Ahhh the newest phase

So Tyler all of a sudden decided he doesn't like clothes. He constantly tugs at his shirt saying peeeez (please), So I help him take off his shirt. The rest he will do on his own. Thankfully he has left the diaper alone.

Enjoy the show....

I hope this isn't a peek at a future career

On his head is his latest school project, he is very proud..... obviously

This one we will save for future girlfriends

Last Thursday was picture day at Tyler's school. We are so excited, and can't wait to see how they turned out. He was making some pretty funny faces, so it should be interesting.
I took a few pictures at home before we left. Isn't he sooooo handsome?

Here is a preview of one of his funny looks

It was a rough day being cute

Where did my baby go?

Tyler has been looking more and more like a little boy, rather than a little baby. I'm not sure I'm liking this. He is getting to big, to fast.
I wish I could stop time, and just enjoy this age a little longer. The big hugs, the kisses, the laughter, and the snuggling. I know it wont last forever. There will be a time when we will have to ask for the hugs and kisses. A time when hanging with the parents will be so not cool.. lol.
Until then we are gonna have to take advantage of all this.

I wonder what he's thinking here

A day in the city

You will probably wonder why I am posting this on Tyler's blog, but if it wasn't for Tyler I wouldn't have met these and many more wonderful ladies.

Not many of my family and IRL (In real life) friends know about this (until now. lol). Those that I have told think we are all crazy for getting together with people we met online. So I just don't bother explaining it anymore. I hope that one day they are as lucky to make such great friends.

See when I found out I was pregnant in Nov 05, I went on to this website Babycenter.com. This is where some of the most supporting and amazing ladies, who eventually became wonderful friends were. These women are from all over the country, and a few from right here in Ma.
They all have kids born in August 06, so it has been great to watch all of our kids growing up together.

On Saturday we had a little meet-up in NYC. I met Anne (NY), Janelle (CT), Cara (PA), Traci (NY), and Jilian who is from right here in Everett. Jilian and I took the train to the city.
It was great to see everyone, It was a great time. We hung out in Central Park for the most part, just trying to catch up.
Here we all are, from the left is Anne, Jilian, Cara, Traci, Janelle, and myself.

We are planning a big meet-up back in NY for June 09 with all the hubbies and kids. That should be fun!!

Happy Halloween

Tyler has been in daycare for about 3 weeks now. He absolutely love's it!! He love's all his little friends, and his teacher's. I was so worried that he would hate it, and made myself so stressed out for NOTHING! "Bye, bye" and waves me out the door is what he does.

Anyway, back to what I was going to post about.
Thursday morning Kirk and I took Tyler to his school Halloween party!! Kirk took the whole day off of work for this event. I think we were more excited than him. They were all so adorable. Tyler decided that putting on his costume wasn't so bad, once he saw his friends had theirs on (gotta love peer pressure).

They paraded around the school as fast as possible since it was 32 degrees and windy that morning, Brrrr.

Back inside for the party. Tyler loved bobbing for apples. Then down came the spiders (donut holes). Boy did they love that.

Then they frosted some cookies. Let's just say more frosting ended up in their mouths than the cookies. Crazy kids!

It was a great party, and Tyler walked out with his goody bag. He was one happy boy!

Welcome to Tyler's World

I decided to start this blog so that I could document this amazing time in our lives. Tyler was born on Friday August 11th 2006 at 12:03am. Our lives forever changed the moment we saw him. He has taught us patience, selflessness, and the true meaning of love.
Tyler is now two years old, and has grown into such a fun little boy with a great personality. We look forward to each day with him.
